Mick Schumacher Nearly Replaced Giovinazzi At The Eifel GP
Helmut Marko, head of Red Bull’s driver development programme, has revealed that Mick Schumacher very nearly raced in last weekend’s Eifel Grand Prix, as Alfa Romeo driver Antonio Giovinazzi’s initial COVID-19 test result was inconclusive. 'Giovinazzi had the same situation as Albon [an inconclusive coronavirus test result]. Mick could almost have celebrated his race debut, but the second test was negative,' Marko said.
