Result FP1: Mercedes has almost a second lead

The first free practice for the Grand Prix of Spain is over and this training remained without incidents. In this way several drivers were able to make the necessary laps. In this practice Valtteri Bottas proved to be the fastest with Lewis Hamilton on a very small difference just behind him. In third place we see Max Verstappen back at a small second behind. Albon didn't make it past the eighth fastest time, but he still had some issues during practice.
