Hamilton's contract talks 'more complicated' - Bottas
Aug.7 Valtteri Bottas insists he is not frustrated that he has been given only a further one-year Mercedes contract. The Finn, whose new deal is his fifth consecutive single-year agreement since joining the team in 2017, was openly hoping for a longer duration. "Although it's only one year, and maybe there are some options, I think this is absolutely the best option for me," Bottas told Finland's MTV Sport at Silverstone. "If and when I win the championship, then there should be no worries about anything. Doors would open everywhere. So while this (contract) is short again, it's the best option for me," he added.
