Styria Qualifying: Rain-delayed session finally underway
Qualifying for the Styrian Grand Prix will indeed take place on Saturday, with rain easing enough after a 46 minute delay to the session. Originally scheduled for 3:00pm local, Q1 instead will start at 3:46pm in what the radar indicates could be a brief respite from the precipitation still rolling across the Spielberg area. As a result, Formula 1 will not have to resort to a Sunday morning session, nor revert to times set in FP2, although teams will be in a rush to set a competitive time before the rain returns.
