F1 confirms no Covid-19 cases during Austrian GP build-up
Formula 1 and the FIA has confirmed that no positive Coronavirus tests were returned during a seven-day period prior to the Austrian Grand Prix. Formula 1’s opening event in Australia was cancelled amid the worsening coronavirus situation in mid-March after a team member from McLaren returned a positive test. Formula 1 has implemented strict protocols for the revised opening round at the Red Bull Ring in Austria this weekend. Teams have undergone testing prior to flying out from their respective countries while personnel have been kept in bubbles, away from other teams, and even away from colleagues that operate in different departments.
