British GP fans warned to stay away from Silverstone

British Grand Prix fans have been warned by the police not to try and gain access to Silverstone next August as their presence could undermine the organization of both F1 races hosted by the British track. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, F1 will race behind closed gates at Silverstone on August 2 and on the following weekend, and if fans converge to the venue and attempt to gather outside the circuit, it could lead to an outright cancellation of the events. "The event organisers have put strict and robust measures in place to minimise the risk of infection and to protect the race personnel, event staff and the local community," said the Northamptonshire Police in a statement...
