All drivers to get same Pirelli tyre allocations
It has been confirmed that Pirelli will supply all drivers with the same tyre allocations for the 2020 season. Previously teams have been able to choose how many sets of each available compound they want for their drivers for a race weekend, with each driver having 13 sets of tyres. But as Formula 1 look to reduce costs and Pirelli search for achievable targets due to the packed 2020 schedule, those tyre allocations have now been set for all drivers. “Each driver will be allocated the following specification of dry-weather tyres at each event: Two sets of the hard specification of tyres, three sets of the medium specification of tyres, eight sets of the soft specification of tyres,”...
