Racing in 2020 ‘critical' to Williams survival

Deputy team principal, Claire Williams, has said it is 'critical' that the team goes racing in 2020 if they to avoid an uncertain future in Formula 1. The 2020 season calendar will be a heavily revised one now that the initial record-breaking 22-race schedule has been left in tatters due to the ongoing virus pandemic. Seven of the first nine races have been officially postponed, while Australia and Monaco are cancelled. That number is expected to rise with the postponements of France and Silverstone likely. However, Austria could offer a glimmer of hope for a July start as the government there has given the green light for the Red Bull Ring to host a Grand Prix behind closed doors. Whilst...
