‘Racing Point ready to become top team as Aston Martin'

Racing Point's Otmar Szafnauer says that, after thirty years, the Racing Point outfit is ready to step up to be frontrunners as the Aston Martin team. Racing Point head into 2020 with a whole new lease for life after the recent announcement that they will become the Aston Martin works team in 2021, following the purchase by team owner Lawrence Stroll of almost 17% of the struggling Aston Martin Lagonda company. Stroll's Racing Point made the purchase and signed a deal that will see the consortium grow their stake to a round 20% at the end of Aston's technical partnership with Red Bull Racing at the end of 2020.
