Kvyat penalised for Perez collision, loses points finish
Toro Rosso Formula 1 driver Daniil Kvyat has lost his points finish at the United States Grand Prix after being penalised for colliding with Sergio Perez. Kvyat finished 10th on the road but was handed a five-second time penalty for clashing with Racing Point’s Sergio Perez at Turn 15 in the closing stages of the Austin race. It marks the second consecutive weekend in a row that Kvyat has been relegated out of the points for a post-race penalty. The Russian was demoted to 11th at last weekend’s Mexican Grand Prix after he tangled with Renault driver Nico Hulkenberg on the last lap of the race at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez.
