Sergio Perez must start from pit lane after weighbridge transgression
Sergio Perez must start Formula 1’s United States Grand Prix from the pit lane after failing to stop at the weighbridge during second practice. Perez was requested to stop for weighing at the end of the second session but drove onwards, and was then serviced by Racing Point in the pit era. It is the second time this season, after Pierre Gasly in Azerbaijan, that the penalty has been handed out.
