Perez: P11 start yields big points chance
Mexican Grand Prix – Sergio Perez believes that a P11 grid slot gives him a strong chance for big points at his home race at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez. With the endurance of the soft-compound tyre believed to be a big factor this weekend, the Racing Point driver believes starting just outside the top ten could bring strategic benefits. Under the current regulations, any driver who progresses into Q3 must start the race on the tyres they used for their best time in Q2.
