Alfa Romeo fined over fuel infringement
Austrian Grand Prix – Alfa Romeo have been fined for breaching fuel temperature regulations on Antonio Giovinazzi's car during practice. Following the second free practice session, representatives from Alfa Romeo were summoned to the stewards after the fuel sample was measured at thirteen degrees centigrade below the ambient temperature. According to article 6.5.2 of the FIA Formula One Technical Regulations, teams are not permitted to run fuel at a temperature more than ten degrees centigrade below the measured ambient temperature, specified by the race stewards one hour before a practice session.
