Nicholas Latifi to drive Robert Kubica's car in Canada FP1

Williams has confirmed that Robert Kubica will step aside for Nicholas Latifi’s FP1 outing at this weekend’s Canadian Grand Prix. Latifi, formerly of Renault and Force India, joined Williams as its reserve driver for 2019, with test days and six FP1 sessions part of his package. Latifi has already driven the FW42 during testing in Bahrain and Spain and the first of his allocated six FP1 sessions will come at his home round in Canada on Friday. Both Kubica and team-mate George Russell will stand aside for three sessions each respectively and at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve it will be the Pole who sits out FP1.
