BMW ditches WEC and will expand into SIM Racing

BMW have announced that they will withdraw from the World Endurance Championship when the Super -Season ends this may, the German manufacturer will now increase focus to sim racing while staying involved with Formula E, DTM and IMSA. BMW Group Motorsport Director Jens Marquardt announced yesterday, “We will not compete in WEC going forward. Therefore, the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June will be another highlight for us in drawing to a close – just like in 2018, when we celebrated the successful world premiere of the BMW 8 Series Coupe there.'
