Verstappen: Podium would've been undeserved

Bahrain Grand Prix – Max Verstappen was unfazed by missing out on the podium positions despite closing in on Charles Leclerc in the final stages of the race. The Red Bull driver spent the majority of the race in fifth place after gradually losing ground to Mercedes' Valtteri Bottas, but was given opportunities to rise through the order due to Ferrari's mid-race issues. Sebastian Vettel's spin promoted Verstappen to fourth, whilst Leclerc's technical dramas late in the race meant the Dutchman had an opportunity to take the final place on the podium. However, a late double-retirement for Renault brought out the safety car, which ensured Leclerc kept third place on the podium....
