Callum Ilott to get Alfa Romeo F1 run in Barcelona

Ferrari-backed youngster Callum Ilott is to make his Formula 1 test debut during May’s in-season running at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Ilott, third in last year’s GP3 Series, has been supported by Ferrari since the start of 2017 and for 2019 has also joined the newly-created Sauber Junior Team. The British youngster is to race full-time for Sauber Junior Team by Charouz in Formula 2 this season. Ferrari confirmed on Tuesday that Ilott will get his first taste of Formula 1 machinery when he gets behind the wheel of Alfa Romeo’s C38 in May.
