Verstappen: "Melbourne is not a representative circuit"

Max Verstappen is refusing to get ahead of himself following a fantastic season opener in Melbourne for the Red Bull driver which saw him claim an unexpected third ahead of both of the Ferraris. Verstappen driving competitively in a Red Bull with a Honda engine for the first time comfortably beat Vettel to the final podium spot and even put the pressure on Hamilton in second which would have been a real surprise. The Dutchman’s teammate, Pierre Gasly didn’t have an as successful weekend finishing eleventh behind Daniil Kvyat in the Toro Rosso.
