Hulkenberg and Bottas lose personal sponsors

First Valtteri Bottas and now Nico Hulkenberg have lost long-standing personal backers ahead of the 2019 Formula 1 World Championship, as Wihuri and DEKRA pull the plug on their sponsorship programmes in the top flight. Earlier this month Mercedes driver Bottas lost Wihuri backing when company chief Antti Aarnio-Wihuri, a former racing driver and team owner, decided the sport at the highest level was no longer value for money. Wihuri was an instrumental backer during the Finn's career, reportedly playing a role in securing him a drive with Mercedes when Nico Rosberg quit the sport.
