Vettel: car speed most decisive factor for Ferrari

Sebastian Vettel Sebastian Vettel believes improving car pace should be Ferrari’s main focus for 2019 despite a number of mistakes from the team during the Formula 1 season past. The German finished a distant runner-up to Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton in the championship after seriously challenging the Brit during the first half of the season. Vettel has admitted that he wasn’t “at the top of my game” in 2018 and needed to “adjust and get stronger”. Mark Webber, a former team-mate of Vettel’s at Red Bull Racing, claimed that ‘own goals’ cost Ferrari a chance at the championship.
