Hamilton doubts he could have beaten Kimi on same strategy

United States Grand Prix – Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton says he isn't sure beating Kimi Raikkonen to victory was possible, even if he had run the same strategy as the Ferrari driver. Hamilton had trailed behind Raikkonen through the opening stint of the race, as the Finn used the UltraSoft tyre to get the jump into Turn 1 and take the lead from the Mercedes. Pulling away by about 2.5 seconds, Hamilton dived into the pits during the Virtual Safety Car on Lap 11, changing onto the Soft tyre. Coming back out in P3 behind teammate Valtteri Bottas, he was quickly back up to P2 and charging after Raikkonen.
