Hamilton: I just over-egged it a little bit

The magic that Lewis Hamilton found on the night in Singapore two weeks ago went missing when he made his final run in qualifying for the Russian Grand Prix at Sochi Autodrom, meaning that the world championship leader will start Sunday's race from second on the grid behind his Mercedes teammate Valtteri Bottas. During his final attempt at pole in Q3, Hamilton set a scintillating first sector only to botch it up in sector two where he ran wide and was lucky not to slam the wall, the top start spot went to the Finn in the #77 car.
