Bottas and Leclerc cover big mileage in Pirelli test

Valtteri Bottas and Charles Leclerc were on 2019 tyre test duty for Pirelli at Paul Ricard, bot doing significant mileage during their stints in the car. Mercedes driver Bottas completed 102 problem free laps, while Leclerc notched up 129 laps of the French Grand Prix venue in the Ferrari which amounts to 2.5 race distances for the Sauber rookie during the course of the day. It was Leclerc's first run in the Ferrari SF17H, and a prelude to when he joins the team full-time next season alongside Sebastian Vettel.
