Renault submit protest on Grosjean’s Haas

Renault has submitted an official protest to the FIA over Romain Grosjean’s Haas car with both teams set to have a hearing at Monza following the Italian Grand Prix. The French manufacturer has requested clarification “on the legality of the Haas F1 Team VF-18” with the team refusing to make a further comment on the situation until the stewards hearing which will take place at 18:30 local time at Monza. FIA race director Charlie Whiting has confirmed the protest focuses on a floor piece on the Haas car. The US team introduced floor updates for the Italian race having debuted them during practice in Belgium last week.
