Fernando Alonso Reveals He Rejected Red Bull Offer For 2019

Fernando Alonso has revealed that he turned down a chance to join Aston Martin Red Bull Racing for 2019, prior to his announcement that he would leave the sport at the end of the year. Alonso confirmed during the summer break that he would not race in F1 next year, as he sets eyes on new challenges in Motorsport. Alonso has said he is open to return, if McLaren F1 Team produce a competitive car. But ahead of the Belgian Grand Prix, Alonso has revealed that he was offered a seat at Red Bull next year, following the departure of Daniel Ricciardo who will join Renault Sport Formula One Team next year.
