Norris earns Belgian Grand Prix FP1 outing

Belgian Grand Prix – McLaren junior driver Lando Norris will make his free practice debut at this weekend's race at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. Having already participated in in-season test sessions, the Briton will make his first appearance in an official grand prix weekend when he drives Fernnado Alonso's MCL33 during the opening free practice session. “This weekend will be the first time that our reserve driver Lando will drive the MCL33 during a race weekend, as he steps into Fernando’s car for FP1 on Friday,” confirmed De Ferran. “This is not only part of his ongoing development, but also the evaluation and performance evolution of the car.
