F1 turn their back on plans to move testing to Bahrain
F1 have announced they are to scrap plans to move testing to Bahrain next season. Liberty Media suggested they would cover the logistics cost, but a number of teams were against moving the events. According to RaceFans, the tests will be the same as last year, just starting a week earlier. The first test will take place at the Circuit de Catalunya on the 18th February and will last four days. Five days later, the second week of testing will begin. Paddy Lowe spoke to RaceFans confirming the idea didn't have support. "It's become clear there isn't enough support."
