Ricciardo hopes to sign contract with Red Bull next week

Daniel Ricciardo has said he may sign his contract extension with Red Bull as early as next week. Originally, the Australian seemed to be on the move but has since been locked out of Mercedes following the deals Hamilton and Bottas signed. Two weeks ago, he was telling the media it was looking more likely, and that continues in the paddock at Hockenheim.  “It seems more and more that I stay. I get a better picture of what other teams are doing. I’m focusing on the race this weekend, but next week I’m going to look further into the contract,” Ricciardo told motorsport.  “It would be nice if this was arranged for the summer break.
