F1 should be ‘exclusive’ with points – Fernando Alonso

Fernando Alonso does not agree with plans to shake-up the point system in Formula 1 as he feels it should be 'exclusive' and something to be rewarded. It was revealed by Vijay Mallya during the British Grand Prix weekend F1 bosses are discussing plans to potentially redistribute the points system so more drivers take away points from each event. The current system which began in 2010 runs from first to tenth with 25 points to the winner and one point for the driver who finished at the back of the top ten, the new system Mallya spoke of could run to as low as 15th place, as it does in MotoGP.
