Renault reveal reasons behind hard tyres at British Grand Prix

Cyril Abiteboul reveals that the tyres being blistered in last week's Austrian Grand Prix was the reason for the tyre change at Silverstone. The Renault team have said it is the "shock" of their tyres being blistered in Austria that triggered the unusual strategy at Silverstone. Renault drivers, Nico Hulkenberg and Carlos Sainz, were the only drivers that started with Medium tyres at Silverstone. The pair later moved onto Pirelli's toughest tyres at Silverstone.
