Max Verstappen 'trying too much' on Hard tyre before crash
Max Verstappen has accepted he “just lost it” after he crashed out of the second practice session for the British Grand Prix during the opening stages. Verstappen was running the Hard tyre – the first time the blue-banded compound has been brought to a race weekend – in the second session when he spun exiting Luffield. Verstappen skated through the gravel before impacting the wall with the right-rear of the RB14, bringing his session to a premature conclusion, having been on only his second lap. “I think I wanted to be too quick on the Hard tyre so I just lost it,” said Verstappen. “Unfortunately the way you hit the wall it just rips off the entire...
