Mercedes go conservative with Canadian GP tyre selection
Mercedes are the only team to have taken a conservative approach to their tyre selection ahead of the Canadian Grand Prix. The Silver Arrows have elected to bring along only 5 sets of the Hypersoft tyre which made its debut in Monaco last weekend, Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton will also take the same amount of the Ultra and Supersoft compounds. Other teams have elected to take more of the Hypersofts, the majority of the field has decided to take eight sets of the softest Pirelli rubber available to them.
