Todt: New regulations need to be a step backwards
FIA president Jean Todt believes that the next set of Formula One regulations need to look at taking a step backwards in order to make the sport more accessible to fans. A proposed measure would be the removal of the MGU-H from power units. Many teams have criticised plans to get rid of the MGU-H however Todt believes it could be what is necessary to make Formula One more cost-efficient and exciting. “It’s a beautiful piece of art, of technology, but I hear well that it’s maybe not what the fans are expecting. “It’s not something that is absolutely needed to have a good championship. “So I think it’s important that we can learn out of it, and...
