Take a lap around Spa with Toyota's Fernando Alonso
Fernando Alonso lost no time getting down to business yesterday at Spa for his official debut with Toyota in the World Endurance Championship. Strapped in behind the wheel of his #8 TS050 Hybrid racer that he'll be sharing this year with Sebastien Buemi and Kazuki Nakajima, the Spaniard topped the Spa event's first practice session, clocking in with a 1m58.492 lap that edged out Buemi by 0.237 seconds. It was a brilliant performance by the Spaniard considering the wealth of Toyota experience enjoyed by his team mate. Check out a video of Alonso's lap around the legendary 7 km Ardennes track.
