Lewis Hamilton explains Baku podium delay
2018 Azerbaijan Grand Prix winner Lewis Hamilton was late to the podium in Baku – but as he explains, there was a very good reason for it. The Brit went to tell Mercedes team-mate Valtteri Bottas that the win should have been his. Hamilton was only third at the late safety car restart, he received top podium place following Sebastian Vettel ran wide trying to overtake Bottas and was Bottas race ended with a dramatic rear puncture.
