Raikkonen attributes steady race to Soft tyre struggles

Azerbaijan Grand Prix – Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen recovered from a P6 start and a first lap collision to come home P2 behind Lewis Hamilton's Mercedes. Raikkonen started Sunday's race from P6, due to a late error on his final flying lap in Qualifying on Saturday. Starting on the UltraSoft, he was fighting with Force India's Esteban Ocon through Turn 3 when the pair collided. Replays showed that Ocon, while marginally ahead of the Ferrari, turned in on Raikkonen with the Finn left with nowhere to go. Ocon was pitched into the barriers while Raikkonen pitted for a new nose and a set of Soft tyres with the aim of getting to the chequered flag. Between there and the race defining crash...
