Raikkonen: No excuse it was a mistake
Kimi Raikkonen was on a flyer on his final run in qualifying for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, going purple in the first two sectors but in the final third of the lap he got on the gas too early as he exited Turn 16, the slither cost him a second and what might have been his first top spot start since Monaco last year. The veteran Ferrari driver explained to reporters, “I went sideways. That’s about it. It was really frustrating losing a pretty decent lap at that point…” “No excuse.
