Ferrari reserve Antonio Giovinazzi to make Le Mans debut

Ferrari test and reserve driver Antonio Giovinazzi will make his debut at the Le Mans 24 Hours this year. Giovinazzi finished runner-up to Pierre Gasly in the 2016 GP2 standings and joined Ferrari as back-up to Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen. The Italian participated in two Grands Prix with Sauber, as a replacement for the unfit Pascal Wehrlein, and also made practice outings for Haas, as he staked his claim for a 2018 race seat. However, Haas retained Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen, while Sauber kept hold of Marcus Ericsson as team-mate to runaway F2 champion Charles Leclerc, leaving Giovinazzi on the sidelines.
