Nissan offers first look at Formula E car

Nissan has shown its Formula E livery concept for its inaugural season in the all-electric racing series in 2018/19. With Renault pulling out of the championship to focus in its Formula 1 efforts, Nissan will take its place as the backer for the triple constructor’s championship-winning team e.dams next season, becoming Formula E’s first Japanese manufacturer. 'At first glance, the season five Formula E car looked to our design team like an EV-powered supersonic bird in flight,' said Alfonso Albaisa, Nissan's senior vice president of global design.
