Mercedes gets Team of the Year at Laureus Awards

Mercedes has picked up Laureus’ World Team of the Year award, the first time the squad has received the accolated. Mercedes was nominated for the nod in 2015, 2016 and 2017, but missed out on each occasion, to Germany’s World Cup football team, the All Blacks, and the Chicago Cubs respectively. It proved to be fourth time lucky in 2018, as Mercedes’ Toto Wolff picked up the award on behalf of the team at a ceremony held in Monaco. Mercedes fended off competition from France's Davis Cup team, the Golden State Warriors, the New England Patriots, New Zealand's America's Cup team and Real Madrid.
