Ricciardo wins vote for F1 overtake of 2017

Daniel Ricciardo’s triple pass on his way to victory during the Azerbaijan Grand Prix has clinched victory in the vote to be named the best overtake of 2017 in Formula 1. The Red Bull driver nailed a safety car restart in Baku to pass both Williams drivers Lance Stroll and Felipe Massa plus Renault’s Nico Hulkenberg to overtake all three with one move in the sprint to turn one. The overtake hat-trick opened up the Azerbaijan race for the Australian who charged to victory and his only triumph of the season.
