Verstappen set for 15-place grid penalty at COTA

Max Verstappen will receive a 15-place grid penalty for this weekend's United States Grand Prix after Red Bull made changes to his Formula 1 power unit ahead of final practice on Saturday. Red Bull team boss Christian Horner said on Friday the team would have to take new parts on Verstappen's power unit in order to get to the end of the season, and would do so either in Austin or at the next race in Mexico. In the latest report from FIA technical delegate Jo Bauer, it was confirmed that Red Bull had taken a new internal combustion engine and MGU-H on Verstappen's power unit, triggering a 15-place grid drop for the Dutchman at COTA.
