Fernando Alonso remains at McLaren for 2018
McLaren has confirmed that Fernando Alonso will continue to race for the team in Formula 1 next year, completing the squad's 2018 line-up. Alonso rejoined McLaren on a three-year contract in 2015 and has put pen to paper on a new deal, tying him to the outfit for 2018, when Renault power will replace Honda. 'It’s fantastic to be able to continue my relationship with everybody at McLaren,' said Alonso, who will partner Stoffel Vandoorne.
