No further action on Verstappen/Palmer clash
– Stewards at the Malaysian Grand Prix have taken no further action on Max Verstappen and Jolyon Palmer, after their collision during third practice at Sepang.Verstappen, on a slow lap, was hit by Jolyon Palmer, on a hot lap, as the pair rounded the final hairpin, with the Red Bull driver spun as a result.Verstappen sustained a puncture in the clash while Palmer lost half of his front wing.Stewards investigated the incident but deemed that neither was "wholly or predominantly to blame" and consequently took no further action.The panel took into account that the incident happened in practice, rather than qualifying, and that while "both drivers could have acted...
