F1 debutant Gasly hails 'very special day'
– Toro Rosso debutant Pierre Gasly revelled in a "very special day" as he made his Grand Prix weekend bow during practice for the Malaysian Grand Prix.Gasly, who has had eight days of test running with Red Bull and Toro Rosso since 2015, alongside Pirelli tyre runs, has replaced Daniil Kvyat at the Faenza-based squad for Malaysia and Japan.Gasly finished ninth fastest in the opening rain-affected session and placed 15th in second practice, a tenth of a second quicker than team-mate Carlos Sainz Jr."Today felt fantastic: my first day as a Formula 1 driver, first free practices… it's been a very special day," said Gasly."This morning when I drove out of the...
