Ricciardo surprised by Ferrari's pace

The Ferrari Formula 1 team's pace-setting form in Malaysian Grand Prix practice was stronger than Red Bull expected, according to Daniel Ricciardo. After a rain-hit opening practice session, Sebastian Vettel topped the times in a dry second practice, finishing 0.604 seconds clear of Ferrari team-mate Kimi Raikkonen. Red Bull showed good pace in wet conditions and was Ferrari's closest challenger in FP2, with Ricciardo and Max Verstappen third and fourth, around 0.83s off the pace, with the Mercedes duo a further seven tenths back.
