FIA reveals new cockpit shield concept

The FIA have released an image showing the new cockpit safety concept – The Shield – which will be trialed during practice for next week's British Grand Prix. The shield deviates from the previously unpopular halo system, in that it stays true to the open cockpit concept that many feel is part and parcel of the Formula 1 ethos.
