Hamilton sets record pace in first practice

– Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton topped Thursday's first practice session for the Monaco Grand Prix with the fastest ever lap around Monte-Carlo, ahead of Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel and Red Bull's Max Verstappen.Hamilton, who is looking to equal hero Ayrton Senna's pole tally (65) this weekend, clocked a 1:13.425 on the Ultra Soft tyre to finish two tenths clear of the field.Vettel was Hamilton's nearest rival, with Verstappen just over a tenth further back in third, ensuring that drivers from three different teams filled the top three positions.Valtteri Bottas briefly put his Mercedes on top, but dropped back to fourth as rivals improved, followed by the other Red Bull of Daniel...
