Several sections of Monaco circuit resurfaced

Several sections of the Circuit de Monaco have been resurfaced, ahead of this weekend’s event around the streets of the Principality. In the pre-event notes, issued to teams by Formula 1 Race Director Charlie Whiting, the stages of new tarmac were outlined. The entire pits straight has been resurfaced, as well as the segment between Casino Square and the entry to the right-hander at Portier. Drivers will also encounter new tarmac for a brief moment upon exiting the tunnel, with another new stretch between Tabac and Piscine, following non-event construction work in the area since 2016. Elsewhere, the speed bumps across the run-off exiting the second Piscine segment have been removed...
