Alonso: Why I’m Racing in the Indy 500
F1 News Around the World: Formula 1 double world champion Fernando Alonso's Indianapolis 500 debut continues, the Spaniard has made it clear that he's racing at the Brickyard because he is a 'racer.' “The first car I ever raced in wasn’t built for me. It was for my sister”, Alonso explains via the Players' Tribune. “My dad wanted her to drive go-karts, like he used to. So, in our garage, he built her one — from scratch.
